Join us for a FREE professional development session on our middle school Green Box unit, Solar Homes! This Green Box provides three weeks of curriculum and all necessary supplies to teach students about solar energy and sustainable home design. You’ll explore solar radiation’s impact on homes and discover strategies to reduce its effects through smart design. Learn how to engage students in hands-on activities that empower them to create their own solar-powered homes. Although this training will cover middle school standards, all interested educators are welcome to attend.

Educators who attend the session will be eligible for up to 3 Continuing Education hours. Note that this training can be taken in conjunction with the 9/27 Watersheds and Water Quality training and the 10/15 Truckee Watershed Virtual STEM Curriculum trainings to earn a full 0.5 credit (7.5 CE Hours). See the DRI Professional Development page for more information.
