Dr. Wilcox is a DRI researcher focused on the interactions between aerosols, clouds, and precipitation to better understand regional climate variability, radiative forcing of climate at regional scales, and precipitation processes. His work combines satellite data, in-situ observations, and atmospheric modeling to study cloud dynamics and their climatic impacts. As leader of DRI’s atmospheric modeling group, he employs high-resolution regional and global climate models for applications in water resources, renewable energy, and air quality. Additionally, he directs the ASTER Laboratory, advancing unmanned aircraft systems for environmental research.
