DESCRIPTION:Nevada Robotics is taking applications from K-12 Northern Nevada educators for an IDEALS – Integrating Drone Education and Learning Statewide – professional development series in Reno. During the 3-part training\, educators will explore using the CoDrone EDU in the classroom /club and for REC Aerial Drone Competitions. This 7.5 – hour training provides hours for Opal (teacher license renewal). \nPiloting\nLearn how to fly an indoor drone. SUMMARY:Nevada Robotics METRICS: Carson City PreK/K Cohort
DESCRIPTION:Nevada Robotics is proud to continue its relationship with Carson City Schools and is providing METRICS for the district’s PreK educators. METRICS is engaging and ongoing training using Nevada Robotics’ Books and Bots Lessons. Teachers are learning how to use robots to meet PreK literacy and math standards\, and how to develop early readers\, critical thinkers\, and problem solvers. \nTrainees are receiving a classroom robot set\, free robot loans\, parent resources\, teaching supplies\, classroom support as needed\, and technical support. \nMETRICS (Mentoring Educators Teaching Robotics and Innovation in Computer Science) is engaging and ongoing training using Nevada Robotics’ Books and Bots Lessons. Teachers learn how to use robots to meet PreK-5 literacy and math standards\, and how to develop early readers\, critical thinkers\, and problem solvers. \nTeachers will attend 7.5-hours of training and will receive free resources\, robots\, and books.
